Stories can be of different lengths; they can be instructive, frightening, funny or sad… They can have different endings: some are clear, while others are vague, ambiguous, with something held back. Stories are followed by new stories that begin where the old ones end. Events intertwine and complement each other like links in chains, and their ends sometimes remain open to interpretation, or they connect to other tales – in peculiar and unexpected ways. In our lifetime, we accumulate quite a collection of chains – precious or worn out, or unwanted, or broken in the most unfortunate place, whose relevance we measure by reviving memories.
